Faith Counio, MBA, CFP® founded Chrysalid Financial to counsel institutions and technology professionals with high financial complexity.
Faith has an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and graduated magna cum laude from Elmhurst College with BSc. degrees in Business Administration and Information Systems. In addition to being a CFP® professional, she is a member of the Financial Planning Association, through which she volunteers as a pro-bono financial planner. Having lived and/or worked on four continents, Faith likes to travel in her free time – sampling new cuisines along the way.
Institutional Investment Consulting
Faith Counio has extensive experience in overseeing investment programs for pension plans, endowments, and foundations, and she is adept at constructing global, risk-cognizant institutional caliber portfolios. Faith has sourced, monitored and conducted due diligence on institutional investment managers globally and across asset classes. Having evaluated hundreds of manager proposals, she has led and successfully concluded numerous manager searches.
In 2001, Faith began her career at Hewitt Associates as a consultant to Fortune 500 corporate pension plans. She has advised pension plans, foundations and endowments on a variety of subject areas including: retirement plan design and administration, investment program design, investment manager due diligence and program governance. As a consulting manager on retainer investment consulting engagements at EnnisKnupp & Associates, Ms. Counio oversaw investment programs for pension plans, endowments and foundations with portfolios comprising traditional and alternative investments for client portfolios ranging from $67 million to $41.3 billion. Subsequently, she held an investment role and was an Investment Committee member at Stanlib Multi-Manager. Following that she was a Vice President at Bivium Capital Partners.
